Dana: After some silhouette advice, I decided to make the sci-fi melee class minion a lot bulkier to make better sense of it being a melee minion. They're kind of shark-like in the armor design as the face looks somewhat shark-like, especially with the big ol' grin on the armored version. My headcanon on how they fight is that they use blunt strikes with the arm/shoulder armor primarily, might knee upwards to use the spike on the greaves, and also probably doesn't mind clawing or attempting to head bash/bite whoever or whatever it's in combat with. The image on the right was my original concept for the melee unit that I think I'll work on evolving into the ranged unit. Ranged units would likely be less durable than a melee unit and would have a lighter body type so that they would be able to quickly move to reposition themselves. Not sure if the ranged unit will just have a cute pew pew laser gun or something more exciting yet. The minion that I haven't worked on developing yet is our fast minion, as it's likely going to have a form of locomotion whether it's a space speeder or a tiny fast UFO. Mechanical design isn't my greatest skill so I'm saving that for last to put more thought into. Our tank minion concept hasn't been updated since Go/No-Go, but I'll probably revisit it to make the armor besides the headplate a bit more like other designs. The color palettes were just ideas for the first time, but since we decided on some unified colors for the Sci-Fi side I'll have to incorporate those and redesign the color scheme for the tank minion as well. The latest concept that I've been working on is the carrier minion. Which is a big alien spider that releases small alien spiders on death. The small spiders are held in the bubble on its back that's sort of secured in, and on death the bubble bursts. I had to open a dozen tabs googling spider anatomy and reference pictures for this and I already hate myself and have the creepy crawlies.
